Dennis Eugene White 70 of Harrison passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Dennis was born May 10, 1949 in Layland, West Virginia the son of Calvin E. and Delores C. (Wells) White. Dennis graduated in 1967 from Flint Southwestern High School. Dennis enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1968 and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War.

                Mr. White retired from General Motors Corporation after twenty years of service as an Assembly Line worker and then went to work for Kids R Us for over fifteen years as a truck driver. Dennis had resided in Harrison since 2014, moving from Indianapolis, Indiana. He was an avid golfer, whether on the course, watching televised golf tournaments or traveling around the United States to watch his niece, Dolores compete in many golfing tournaments. Dennis also enjoyed wintering in Florida, cooking meals for his mother, exercising his political views and working on vehicles.

                Surviving Mr. White is his mother, Delores C. White of Harrison, one brother, Douglas White and wife Deidre of Lakeland, Florida, one niece, Dolores White-Sutton and husband Lex Sutton of Fredericksburg, Virginia, one nephew, Cliff White of Florence, South Carolina, three great-nieces; Camryn White, Maura White and Emma Sutton. Mr. White was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Calvin E. White.
