                Cindy Lee Neckel 66 of rural Harrison passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021, at her home. Cindy was born June 9, 1955, in Clare, Michigan the daughter of James C. Elton and Margurette Elizabeth (Walker) Elton. Cindy graduated from Harrison High School in 1973.

                Cindy had resided in Harrison since 1965, moving from Evart, Michigan. She spent many years working as a Home Healthcare Nurse. Cindy was a member of the American Legion Post 404 Ladies Auxiliary since 1976, as well as a longtime member of the Harrison Women of the Moose Chapter 1804. Cindy held a great love for rescuing and caring for cats. She also enjoyed feeding and watching hummingbirds and wild birds. For many years, Cindy enjoyed playing darts, watching old television shows and country western movies. Her family remembers her great cooking skills, as she prepared many homemade meals throughout the years for them.

                Surviving Cindy is her husband, Mr. Donald Neckel of Monroe, Michigan, her best friend and companion, Mr. Carl Cederholm of Harrison, one daughter, April Elton of Jackson, one son, Richard Neckel and wife Amanda of Monroe, five grandchildren, two sisters: Margaret Sopchak and husband Daniel of Lake, Michigan and Katrina Gulk and husband Daniel of Florida, plus numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Wayne Elton and one step-brother, John Wayne Hilliard.
