Calling all Artists for Mural Projects

Clare County Arts Council is looking for an artist(s) to undertake the task of painting a mural in Art Alley in Clare. John Gross, owner of McEwan Street Fudge and Ice Cream shop is interested in adding a mural to his building. Currently Art Alley has several murals and is located behind Cops and Doughnuts in Clare. The theme can be fudge and candy related or since it is the 250th anniversary of the United States it can be patriotic.

Also, Clare Downtown Development Authority is interested in painting the shed in the 5th Street parking lot. A country scene is suggested.

Interested persons should send the following information. A cover letter with the artist's information, name, phone number and bio. Any previous projects as well as their concept and description of the proposal and sketch of their ideas. Clare County Arts Council will purchase materials needed for the project. The artist will be compensated. CCAC reserves the right to accept or reject all proposals. The deadline to apply is May 30. The project shall be completed by Sept. 15, 2026.
