Batman Charged with Possession of Cocaine and Drunk Driving

WEXFORD COUNTY, MI. On Sunday, March 31, 2024, at approximately 3:00 a.m. troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Cadillac Post stopped a vehicle on southbound US-131 near Exit 176 in Clam Lake Township for a moving violation. Troopers noticed an open bottle of tequila inside the vehicle.
The driver, 42-year-old Jamal Roosevelt Batman from Detroit, displayed signs of intoxication. Sobriety tests were administered, and Batman was placed under arrest and lodged in the Wexford County Jail. After Batman was taken out of the patrol vehicle at the jail, troopers located a small plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine where Batman had been seated. Batman was arraigned in the 84th District Court in Wexford County for one count Operating While Intoxicated Third Offense, one count Possession Cocaine Under 25 grams, one count Open Intoxicants in Vehicle, and one count Driving While License Revoked. He was given a $100,000 cash surety bond. His next scheduled court appearance is on April 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
