AGNES JUNE MCPHERSON

Agnes June McPherson, 87, of Harrison passed away Monday, October 28, 2019, at MediLodge of Clare. Agnes was born June 4, 1932, in Port Huron, Michigan the daughter of John Charles Gamble and Agnes (Bearden) Gamble. Agnes graduated in 1950 from Port Huron High School, Port Huron. Agnes was united in marriage to Mr. William James McPherson on July 17, 1952, in Port Huron. Mr. McPherson preceded Agnes in death on March 16, 2019, after sixty-six years of marriage.

Mrs. McPherson had resided in Harrison since 1991, moving from Port Huron. Agnes retired from the Kmart Corporation after twenty-two years of service at the Port Huron store as a Deli Clerk. She enjoyed Rose gardening, casino trips, playing bingo, traveling Michigan and the United States with her family and was passionate of her beloved cats and dogs throughout the years.

Surviving Mrs. McPherson are her five loving children; Joan A. Brown and husband Daniel of Lake, Michigan, Debra Rix and husband William of Houghton Lake, Michigan, Lois Stark of Port Huron, Donald McPherson of Marysville, Michigan and Jeff McPherson and wife Tammie of Kimball, Township, Michigan, eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mrs. McPherson also was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Marsha Johnston, one grandson, Steven Rucker, two sisters; Gertrude McCarty and Edith Kuehn and four brothers; John Gamble, James Gamble, Francis Gamble and Leo Gamble.

Graveside services for Agnes will be held Friday, November 1, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Harrison, with Chaplain Daryl Amrozowicz officiating.
