2 Headed to Prison

HARRISON – Windy Dawn Lane of Harrison pleaded guilty on June 9, 2023, in two felony files. In the first file, she pleaded guilty to Delivery/Manufacture Methamphetamine. This conviction was a result of an investigation conducted by MINT wherein Lane delivered methamphetamine to a confidential informant on June 30, 2022. In the second file, she pleaded guilty to Possession of Methamphetamine, second or subsequent offense. This conviction was a result of an investigation after a traffic stop conducted by the Michigan State Police on June 1, 2023. She was sentenced in both files on July 24, 2023, by Judge Tara Hovey to serve four to 15 years and four to 12 years, respectively, with credit for 194 days already served. The sentences are concurrent to one another. She was also ordered to pay a total of $698 in fines and costs.

Justin Robert Eager of Traverse City originally pleaded no contest to Domestic Violence, third offense on Dec. 21, 2021, and was placed on a term of probation. He pleaded guilty to a probation violation in that file on June 27, 2023, and was sentence by Judge Roy Mienk that same day to serve 370 days to five years with credit for 10 days already served. He was also ordered to pay $2,893 in fines and costs.
