YVONNE “YO-YO” JUNE DILLON

Yvonne “Yo-Yo” June Dillon 78 of Sears, Michigan passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Yvonne was born November 22, 1942, in Sterling Township, Michigan the daughter of Kyle John McWethy and June Roseanna (Martin) McWethy. Yvonne graduated from Avondale High School in 1960. Yvonne was united in marriage to Mr. Glenn E. Dillon on July 16th, 1971, in Highland, Michigan. Mr. Dillon preceded Yvonne in death on February 16th, 2019, after forty-seven years of marriage.

                Yo-Yo had resided in Sears since 2020, moving from Harrison and previously from Evart, Michigan and White Lake, Michigan.  Yvonne retired from Michigan Bell Telephone and AT&T after twenty-five years as a telephone operator. After retirement, she and her husband Glenn spent twelve years at Riverside Park Campground of Evart as park managers. Yo-Yo was passionate about her grandchildren, as they were her entire world. She enjoyed visiting new restaurants, sewing, shopping, bowling, playing Euchre, and spending any available time going on camping excursions. Yvonne could not be still, she always had to be doing or going.

                Surviving Mrs. Dillon are her four daughters: Karen Stokes and husband Michael of Evart, Lora Garland of Maryville, Tennessee, Annette Maxwell and husband Tony of Cadillac, Michigan and Rosie Danley and husband Mike of Sears, three step-children: Rhonda Vance of North Carolina, Matthew Bunch of Illinois and Renee Hall and husband Andy of Illinois, twenty-seven grandchildren, fifty-seven great-grandchildren with number 58 arriving soon, one sister, Cheryl Sherwin and husband Chuck of Lapeer, Michigan, one brother, Chuck McWethy of Dandridge, Tennessee, her better half, Roger Stark of Sears, plus many nieces, nephews, extended family and her two fur babies: Little Bit and Tia. Mrs. Dillon also was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Glenn M. Dillon, one son in-law, Tom Garland, one great-grandson, Cameron Fuentes and three brothers: Kyle, Ray and Wayne.
