In the morning hours of Tuesday, Sept. 24, Clare County Central Dispatch received a call of a vehicle in Budd Lake at the north end of Townline Lake Road. An Auto Solutions wrecker was westbound on Townline Lake Road when the accident occurred. The driver stated that he swerved to miss a car, missed houses but damaged two pontoon boats docked on the lake and severed several trees. Remarkably, the driver was not hurt. Townline Lake Road was shut down for several hours after the accident and traffic rerouted around Budd Lake. Micheal Henry Tree Service of Harrison was on the scene during and after recovery to remove trees.
The Harrison Community Fire Department and the Clare County Sheriff Department responded to the scene along with Jerry Becker, Clare County emergency manager, to assess and contain any fluids that might be present. Auto Solutions towed their own vehicle from the scene.
