Mid Michigan College, MyMichigan Health, and Central Michigan District Health Department invite you to attend the Women’s Health Summit 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, on Mid's Mt. Pleasant Campus.
The event includes a panel discussion with a Primary Care Physician, Clinical Therapist, and Community Impact Manager who will discuss issues currently impacting women. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
At the conclusion of the panel discussion, students from Mid’s Nursing Program will provide health education and screenings for hypertension, COPD, diabetes, colon cancer, COVID, influenza, depression, and breast cancer.
Central Michigan District Health Department will also be providing Flu & COVID Vaccinations. Those wishing to be vaccinated must provide their insurance card and identification – there may be a cost depending on individual insurance coverage.
Angie Evans, of 95.3 WCFX, will moderate a question and answer session after the presentations.
Those interested in attending must register at midmich.edu/community/events/womens-health. The Lunch and Panel Discussion are limited to pre-registered attendees. The Health Fair is open to everyone. There is no cost for either portion of the event.
“We’re honored to collaborate with our valued partners on this event,” said Amy Fisher, Dean of Business & Professional Studies at Mid. “Women’s health is a very important topic, and we’re eager to help women access knowledge and resources for a healthier future.”
