WILFRED MORNINGSTAR

Wilfred Morningstar 57 of Harrison, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at his home. Wilfred was born January 10, 1962 in Wyandotte, Michigan the son of Ronald W. and Geraldine (Holton) Morningstar.

            Wilfred had resided in Harrison since 1993, moving from Detroit, Michigan. He enjoyed watching old western movies, fishing, playing bingo, building various wood items, mentoring a young man by the name of: Dayton, whom was like a son to Wilfred. Mr. Morningstar was considered the story teller of the family and was also the family clown.

            Surviving Mr. Morningstar are his four siblings; Peggy Workman of Harrison, Jerri Morningstar of Detroit, John R. Morningstar of Roscommon, Michigan and Rodney Morningstar of Harrison, one grandchild, many nieces, nephews and his beloved dog, Al. Wilfred was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters; Ronda Smith and Donna Palmer.

            Memorial services honoring Mr. Morningstar will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. from Long Lake Church, 3125 East Long Lake Road, Harrison, with Pastor Chris Saint officiating. Family and friends are encouraged to gather on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service for a time of sharing. Memorial gifts in memory of Wilfred may be considered to the Morningstar family.
