Well-Being Check Leads to Methamphetamine/Warrant Arrest

HARRISON, MI.

On November 4, 2021 at approximately 3 p.m., troopers from the Mount Pleasant Post were dispatched to an address on Filter Road, Clare County, Hayes Township, for a well-being check / possible missing person complaint.
Troopers were unable to locate the individual or her boyfriend at the residence. Troopers remained in the
area and spoke with the individual’s father to obtain more information.
Troopers then observed a vehicle return to the residence. They contacted the individual’s boyfriend, a 49-year-old Harrison man. Further investigation revealed the man had an original felony warrant for his arrest out of Clare County. He was also found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. He was
arrested and lodged at the Clare County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
Troopers were able to locate and ensure the safety of the individual, who was no longer in the area.
Troopers were assisted by the Clare County Sheriff’s Department and Clare County Central Dispatch.
