VINCENT “DINK” JEROME PARRINO

               Vincent “Dink” Jerome Parrino 74 of Harrison, passed away at this home on Monday, October 11, 2021. Vincent was born August 1, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan the son of James J. Parrino and Dolores Jean (Kade) Parrino. Mr. Parrino was drafted into the United States Army and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War.

                Vincent had resided in Harrison since 1970 moving from Walled Lake, Michigan. Dink was an avid racing fan, he loved cheering for his two favorite NASCAR drivers, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr., he also enjoyed watching dirt track races at Merritt Speedway, Merritt, Michigan. Vincent was an avid hunter and fisherman as well as an avid frequenter of local restaurants, where he was seen often over a cup of coffee and conversation.

                Surviving Mr. Parrino is his daughter, Traci Lynn Townsend and husband Gary of Gladwin and formerly of Harrison, three grandchildren; Dakota Townsend, Ariean Townsend and Alayna Townsend, one step-son, Brian Parrino of Mohnton, Pennsylvania, three sisters; Cheryl Vires of Georgetown, Kentucky, Karla Ellegood and husband Michael of Williamston, Michigan and Stephanie Graves and husband David of Lupton, Michigan, many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr. Parrino was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James ”Bud” Parrino.

                Life Celebration Services honoring Mr. Parrino will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Pastor Connie Bongard officiating. Dink’s family will receive visitors on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Military honors will be under the auspices of the American Legion Post 404 honor guard and the United States Army.
