Traffic Stop Leads to Methamphetamine Arrest

January 22, 2021 HARRISON, MI. On January 21, 2021 at approximately 2:30 p.m., troopers from the Mount Pleasant Post conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Terry Street and Lake Street in Garfield Township, Clare County. The driver of the vehicle, a 25-year-old Lake man, initially provided false information to troopers regarding his identity. He was later positively identified and found to have several outstanding warrants for his arrest. The subject’s driver license was also suspended. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed the driver to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

The driver was lodged at the Clare County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
