THOMAS GORDON HARVEY

Thomas Gordon Harvey 82 of Harrison, passed away at home on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Thomas was born October 12, 1937 in Ann Arbor, Michigan the son of Patrick Gordon Harvey and Lucille Elaine (Harding) Harvey. Thomas honorably served his country in the United States Army.  Mr. Harvey retired from General Motors Corporation in 2001, after twenty- five and one- half years of dedicated service. Thomas was united in marriage to Karen Blume on March 26, 2003 in Harrison, Michigan.

Thomas had resided in Harrison since 2003, moving from Ypsilanti, Michigan.  Tom enjoyed building and racing cars with his brother Dan. He enjoyed bow hunting with his buddies from work throughout the years. Fishing was another passion of Tom’s, as well as spending time with family, especially at his home.

Surviving Mr. Harvey is his loving wife of seventeen years, Karen Harvey, four children; Eric Harvey, Mary Harvey, Angela Combs, Patty Roeske and Laura Harvey, twenty-four grandchildren; Tim Beaumont, Cathryn Beaumont, Allyn Harvey, David Thomas Combs, Anthony Combs, Brandon Woods, Drew Preston, Justin Cheatham, Tyler Retzloff, Trevor Retzloff, Kierra Retzloff, Nicholas Harvey, Nicole Roeske, Steven Roeske, Jessica Cissney, Rebecca MacLaren, Erika Maher, Victoria Harvey, Catherine Seeley, Kenneth Seeley, Jason Seeley, James Seeley, Jacob Seeley, and Christian Sanders,  several great grandchildren; one brother; Dan Harvey, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, two sons; Mark Harvey and Marc Harvey, one brother; Ron Harvey and one sister; Vicki.

Military honors for Mr. Harvey will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison. Inurnment was at Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison.  Memorial gifts in memory of Mr. Harvey may be considered to the Harvey family, in care of Karen Harvey.
