Thank you, volunteers with Clare County Food/Greater Lansing Food Bank

The Volunteer Leadership of Clare County Food/Greater Lansing Food Bank would like to thank each and every one of our outstanding volunteers. CCF/GLFB organizes a monthly mobile food distribution in Harrison, Michigan. This mobile food distribution is open to all that need food. We provide food to approximately 450 families each month. We cannot do what we do without the help of our dedicated, hardworking volunteers!

Many of our volunteers have been with us for several years and some are brand new to us. Each and every one are appreciated and valued. They are members of this community that come together to help their neighbors.

Mobile distributions are the first Saturday (Holidays and Inclement weather sometimes push us out to the second Saturday) of every month. In the warmer months we are hosted by the Clare County Fairgrounds and in the colder months we are hosted by the Clare County Transit. Our volunteers show up on the hottest days of the year and on the coldest days of the year. We are beyond blessed by the generosity of their time, skills, and dedication.

If you are interested in becoming part of this rewarding team and you are 14 years old or older you are welcome to join us. Most volunteer positions do involve lifting food into vehicles, but there are some positions available to those with limited mobility as well. Families and groups are invited to attend, and no pre-registration is required.  Our next distribution is Saturday, Jan. 4 at the Clare County Transit Building, please arrive at 9:15 a.m. For more information you can contact us at Clarecofood@gmail.com.
