Sofie Coker, Jenna Betts Champion Bowlers

Good Luck Pioneer Bowling!

Posted

The Clare Girls Varsity Bowling team has been on fire this year. The team went undefeated in the Jackpine Conference and for the first time became Jackpine champions. They then headed to Cheboygan for Michigan High School Athletic Association Regionals where they bowled against 11 other schools and became Regional Champions. Next, they are headed out Friday, March 6 to bowl for the MSHAA State Championship in Jackson, Michigan.

Jenna Betts won the MSHAA Regionals Championship with a total of 1,077. Sofie Coker took 5th place out of 70 girls to move on to the MHSAA State Championship. This will be Sofie's first shot at the title, and Jenna is hoping to keep her title from last year when she won the state championship. Jenna recently signed her National-Letter-of-Intent with Marian University.

Jackpine Conference bowlers Kayla Van Tiem and Ryan Hager from Gladwin have moved on to states, as well as Emma VanDongon from Sanford.

Coach Dingo could not be prouder of all her girls as well as the other Jackpine bowlers, but her Clare girls will always have a special place in her heart.
