Russell “Russ” Donald Browne age 72 of Harrison passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at McLaren Bay Region Hospital, Bay City, Michigan. Russell was born July 21, 1952, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan the son of Donald Leroy Browne and Colette (Langlois) Browne. Russ graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1970.
Mr. Browne had resided in Harrison since 1978, moving from Mt. Pleasant. Russ owned and operated Timberlane Cleaners Inc. of Harrison from 1982 until his retirement in 2010. Russ enjoyed target shooting, his weekly trips to Menards of Mt. Pleasant, watching old western television shows and movies and tinkering around the house and garage.
Surviving Russ is his daughter, Sarah Hamilton of Harrison, his son, Bill Browne also of Harrison, mother of Sarah and Bill, Terri Browne of Farwell, one sister, Sherry VonDoloski and husband Marty of Mt. Pleasant, plus a host of extended family members. Russ was preceded in death by his parents and one son-in-law, John Hamilton.
Celebration of Life services honoring Mr. Browne will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
