RONALD “RON” CHESTER PERKINS

                Ronald “Ron” Chester Perkins age 82 of Southfield, Michigan passed away suddenly on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Ascension Providence Hospital-Southfield Campus. Ronald was born July 5, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Chester McKinley Perkins and Evelyn O. (Panzer) Perkins. Ronald was a graduate of Hazel Park High School. Mr. Perkins retired from General Motors Corporation in 2004 after thirty-eight years of dedicated service.

                Mr. Perkins had resided in Southfield since 2017, moving from Harrison. Ron was an avid bowler, enjoyed building model cars, watching NASCAR races, taking rides in the country and traveling throughout Michigan, solving Sudoku puzzles and spoiling his nieces and nephews.

                Surviving Mr. Perkins are several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, plus many extended family members. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters: Vivian Jean Easton and Faye Laverne Innes.

                Funeral services honoring Mr. Perkins will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service. Visitation will take place Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison.
