Rick Foote Announces June 2022 Retirement

HARRISON – As the last agenda item on the Oct. 11 HCS Board of Education meeting agenda, superintendent Rick Foote announced that after much thought, he had come to the decision that he will retire as of June 30, 2022.

“It was not an easy decision to have that conversation with Chad (Hathcock),” Foote said. “But it’s time. “

He then stated his desire to meet with the Personnel/Policy Committee to map out a timeline to bring back to the board for a superintendent search and replacement.

“It’s a lot of years,” Foote said. “But it’s time.”
