RACHEL ABRAM

Rachel Abram 88 of Livonia, Michigan passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Angela Hospice, Livonia. Rachel was born December 19, 1930 in Oak Park, Michigan, as one of five children born to George Forgie and Helen (McKenzie) Forgie, both migrants of Scotland.

            Ms. Abram worked in various offices over the years as secretary and office assistant. In the past and recently: Enjoyed spending time with family, listening to semi-classical music, ballroom dancing, playing softball, bowling, ice and roller skating, reading, working crossword puzzles and enjoying the Harrison surroundings in which she lived prior to relocating back to the Livonia area. Rachel was a past member of the Harrison Women of the Moose Chapter 1804.

Surviving Rachel are her two sons: Thomas Telfer and wife Cindy and John Lakatos Jr. and wife Dedra, daughter in law, Karen Telfer, three grandchildren: Candice Flor and husband Rainer, Rachel Lesniak and husband Rob and Joseph Lakatos, one step-grandson: Eric Biggs and wife Jessica, three great-grandsons: Logan Lesniak, Evan and Cameron Biggs, ten nieces and nephews and fourteen great-nieces and nephews. Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Forgie, one daughter, Elizabeth, one son, David Telfer, two sisters: Una Pascoe and Marian Megroet, two brothers: William Forgie and George Forgie and one nephew, Bruce Forgie.

Funeral services honoring Ms. Abram will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Pastor Connie Bongard officiating. Visitation will take place Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Harrison.
