Quilts of Valor Awarded

Mindy and Scott Taylor of Harrison were awarded Quilts of Valor on Saturday, July 16 at VFW Post 1075 in Harrison. Mindy Taylor served in the U.S. Army from 1989-1991. She was stationed in Turkey and was a specialist 4 (E4) at discharge. Scott Taylor, who is commander of VFW Post 1075, has served in the Army since 1988. He is a sergeant first class (E7) and served two tours of duty in Afghanistan. Scott now serves in the Michigan National Guard and Army Reserve. He is also an MP and will be on active duty through late summer.
