Orval Wesley Harmon, died unexpectedly on Sunday September 5. He was born March 9, 1949.

Orval was a Vietnam war veteran and lifetime member of the VFW. He also held memberships in the American legion and Moose lodge. In his younger days he did several years of volunteer work for the Salvation Army.  In recent years he loved to travel, visiting friends. Mr. Harmon was united in marriage to Barbara Sutton on July 4, 1998 in Harrison. Mrs. Harmon preceded Orval in death in 2012.

He was also preceded in death by his mother Elsie (Brock) Harmon, father Orval O. Harmon, sister Delores (Harmon) Watkins, and brother, Oren L. Harmon.

Orval is survived by his son Robert (Bobby) Harmon, son Jeffrey Harmon, son Orval Harmon Jr., brother Earl Harmon, numerous grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Graveside funeral services and military honors for Mr. Harmon will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. from Woodland Cemetery, Rosebush, Michigan with Pastor Scott Harper officiating. Military honors presented by the Department of the Army and VFW Pettit-Kapplinger Post 5738 of Clare.
