NANCY ANN OLIVER

                Nancy Ann Oliver age 88 of Harrison passed away peacefully on Monday, October 25, 2021, at her home. Nancy was born April 10, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of James Alexander Cruickshank and Lillian Louise (Pushman) Cruickshank. After graduating high school, Nancy began her working career at National Bank of Detroit as a teller, a position she held for over twenty-five years. She then dedicated over ten years as an administrative secretary to the principal of Melvindale Schools. Nancy spent her retirement years as a volunteer for MidMichigan Regional Medical Centers, Clare, and Gladwin in the gift shop as well as MidMichigan Health Physical Therapy-Harrison office as a receptionist. Nancy enjoyed spending her free time quilting, crocheting, traveling, attending her grandchildren’s school sporting events and watching Detroit Tigers Baseball, Detroit Lions Football and Detroit Red Wings Hockey. 

                Surviving Mrs. Oliver are her four step-sons; Robert Oliver, James Oliver, Donald Oliver and Michael Oliver, one step-daughter, several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, one sister, Joan Marie Yoder of Harrison, plus many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Oliver was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Oliver and one sister, Kathleen Oliver.

                Funeral services honoring Nancy will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. from First Congregational United Church of Christ, 211 West Spruce Street, Harrison, Michigan 48625, with Reverend Vaughn Peterson officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at First Congregational United Church of Christ from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Inurnment will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, Michigan. Memorial gifts in memory of Mrs. Oliver may be considered to the Oliver family, in care of: Mrs. Joan M. Yoder.
