Mid Michigan College’s 2020 Presidential Search coordinated by the Pauly Group, Inc., a national search consulting firm that works exclusively with community and technical colleges, has resulted in the selection of three candidates. They are  Leslie Kellogg, Ph.D., of Lake Michigan College in Michigan; Sandra Kiddo, Ph.D., of Hazard Community and Technical College in Wisconsin; and Tim Hood of Highland Community College in Illinois.

Mid has encouraged its past, current, and future students and community members to attend remote forums available via Zoom to ask questions and hear from the candidates. The provided forum schedule and candidate-specific Zoom links include: 1:30-2:30 p.m. Monday, April 13 with Leslie Kellogg (https://zoom.us/j/328314503); 1:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 14 with Sandra Kiddoo (https://zoom.us/j/381833329); and 1:30-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 with Tim Hood (https://zoom.us/j/357161419).

The Presidential Search Committee appointed by the college’s board of trustees is responsible for identifying, interviewing and selecting candidates. The board of trustees hopes to announce the final selection for Mid’s seventh president in early May.

Current MMC President Christine Hammond, Ph.D., will retire from her presidency in June, six years after entering the role in 2014. Prior to joining Mid, Hammond served as the Chief Academic Officer at North Central Michigan College.
