Michigan Association of County Clerks names Tuscola County Clerk Jodi Fetting 2023 Clerk of the Year

The Michigan Association of County Clerks (MACC) recently met for its annual conference in Muskegon, Michigan. This year marks the 115th annual conference for the group, which is made up of county clerks, Democrats and Republicans, from across the state and serves to provide professional development and networking and offers an opportunity to hear from elections experts from various fields.

“The MACC conference is always an excellent opportunity to work with other County Clerks to discuss best practices and learn from each other,” said Tuscola County Clerk Jodi Fetting. “We are a true community whose sole focus is ensuring that our voters are well served and that our elections are safe and secure.”

Each year, a committee of the five most previous Clerk of the Year award winners meets and selects who will receive the honor for the next year. This year, the Committee met and selected Jodi Fetting as the 2023 Clerk of the Year.

“It is such an honor to have received this award and be recognized by my colleagues in such a humbling way,” said Fetting. “I only seek to serve the public and our residents and voters each and every day and am thrilled that the committee sees that commitment and has chosen to lift it, and me, up in this way. I have my colleagues to thank for this prestigious award, and my family to thank for their love and support through all these years.”

Fetting is in her third term as Tuscola County Clerk, first being elected in 2012. The Clerk of the Year Committee includes Livingston County Clerk Elizabeth Hundley, who won the award in 2022, Ottawa County Clerk Justin Roebuck, Hillsdale County Clerk Marney Kast, Branch County Clerk Terry Kubasiak, and Mecosta County Clerk Marcee Purcell.
