MARJORIE FAY BAILEY

                Marjorie Fay Bailey 95 of rural Harrison went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 15, 2021. Marjorie was born November 4, 1925 in Hamilton Township, Clare County, Michigan the daughter of Andrew J. Keysor and Loretta Ruth (Bitler) Keysor. Marjorie attended and graduated from Gladwin High School. On September 27, 1945 in Hatton Township, Clare County, Marjorie was united in marriage to Mr. Stanley Frank Bailey. Mr. Bailey preceded Marjorie in death on December 17, 1999 after fifty-three years of marriage.

                Mrs. Bailey had resided in Harrison since 1981, moving from Midland, Michigan. Marjorie was a member of Hope Baptist Church, Harrison. Mrs. Bailey retired from Chemical Bank in 1981 after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed rock and Agate picking on Lake Superior’s shoreline, creating quilts for each of her family members, during Christmas Marjorie would make baskets full of her homemade goodies, Mother’s Day was a “Day of Caring”, when she and family gathered and helped get the home and property ready for the summer. Marjorie also enjoyed feeding the wild birds and watching them interact, but above all, her greatest love and passion was her family.

                Surviving Mrs. Bailey are her six daughters: Ruth Boman, Peggy (Larry) Sprague, Bonnie (Patrick) Boulton, Sally (Dennis) Kelly, Patsy (Michael) Eddy, Janetta Bailey, two sons: William (Angela) Bailey and Michael Bailey, nineteen grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, three sisters, three brothers, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mrs. Bailey also was preceded in death by her parents, one son in-law, Thomas Boman, two sisters and one brother.

                Funeral services celebrating Marjorie will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, 165 W. Oak St., Harrison, with Pastor Patrick Boulton officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Bailey will take place Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hamilton Township Cemetery, Harrison.
