MARIE ANNETTE ROBINSON

Marie Annette Robinson 82 of Gladwin, Michigan passed away Friday, August 2, 2019 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland after a long and courageous battle with multiple medical complications. Marie was born May 28, 1937 in Pontiac, Michigan the daughter of Carl and Frances (Higley) Beatty. On March 22, 1958 in Pontiac, Marie was united in marriage to Mr. Floyd Gilbert Robinson. Mr. Robinson preceded Marie in death on August 26, 2015 after fifty-seven years of marriage.

                Mrs. Robinson had resided in rural Gladwin since 2002, coming from Harrison and previously from Union Lake, Michigan. Marie enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing on her computer and surfing the internet. She also enjoyed bowling, cooking, baking her famous cakes and spending time at her home, enjoying the natural splendor and serenity.

                Surviving Mrs. Robinson are her two daughters; Cynthia I. Hopper and husband Craig of Waterford, Michigan and Susan M. Setterington and husband Brian of Commerce Township, Michigan, two sons; Steven G. Robinson of Gladwin and Timothy F. Robinson of Harrison, her eight grandchildren; April Gulewich and husband Justin, George Hopper, Rachel Hopper, Nicholas Setterington, Travis Setterington, Ryan Setterington, Scott Setterington and Colton Robinson, eight great-grandchildren; Lexie, Willow, Nevaeh, Fallon, Lyric, Vanessa, Karli and Skyy, one sister, Clara Burling and husband Dennis of Canton, Georgia, many nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Charlie. Mrs. Robinson also was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Crystal Hopper, two sisters; Rosetta Watson and Sharon Briggs and her beloved dog, Big Jake.

                Funeral services honoring and celebrating Marie will be held Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. Visitation will take place Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi, Michigan on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. Memorial gifts in memory of Mrs. Robinson may be considered to: Clare County Animal Shelter.
