Margaret Catherine Carey age 83 of Harrison passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Margaret was born June 26, 1939, in Foster, Wisconsin, the daughter of Roy Harrison Peet and Florence Cora (Wingad) Peet. Margaret graduated from Osseo-Fairchild School District, Osseo, Wisconsin in 1957. Margaret was united in marriage to Mr. Richard E. Carey on March 14, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio. Mr. Carey preceded Margaret in death on January 27, 2005, after forty-two years of marriage.

Mrs. Carey had resided in Harrison since 1987, moving from Milford, Michigan. Margaret was co-owner/owner of Pudgy’s Restaurant of Harrison for over thirty-five years. Margaret was known for her seamstress skills and creation of many keepsakes for her family. She also enjoyed home remodeling, organic gardening, cooking delicious dishes, listening to old country music and was a Steve Harvey fan.

Surviving Mrs. Carey are her three loving children: Patricia K. Hull and Timothy Stone of Fenton, Michigan, George R. Carey of Harrison and Michelle K. Fowler and husband Randy of Harrison, ten grandchildren: Andrew Stone and wife Tara, Ryan Stone and wife Jackie, Erika Stone, Rachel Costantino and husband Giuliano, Raymond Hull and Lindsey Beaudoin, Dale Miller and wife Nancy, Cody Carey, Chesanie Carey, Michael Fowler and Jessica Velasquez, Joseph Fowler and Marisa Dring, sixteen great-grandchildren: Kingston, Vivianna, Armani, Evelyn, Dahlia, Joshua, Jaxson, Sophia, Joseph II, Giulietta, Grace, Lance, Cam, Abby, Emma and Harland, many nieces, nephews, extended family and close customers. Mrs. Carey also was preceded in death by her 

parents, one son, Jeffrey Dale Carey and four brothers: Wayne Peet, Verlyn Peet, Lester Peet and Harley Peet.

Funeral services honoring Mrs. Carey will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service, 165 West Oak Street, Harrison, with Monsignor Francis B. Koper officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. The burial will be in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Harrison.
