Sheriff Department release
HARRISON – On Tuesday, Nov. 25, the Clare County Central Dispatch received a call from the owner of a rental residence located at 9860 Maple Dr. in Lake, located in Clare County, reporting possible drug activity at that residence. Deputies with the Clare County Sheriff Office spoke with the owner of the property. The property owner reported he had allowed a homeless female, identified as 47-year-old Farwell woman Nichole Parker, to stay a few days at the residence. A few days after allowing the female to stay, the homeowner had stopped at the residence to inspect it. During the inspection, he observed two glass pipes commonly used to ingest methamphetamine inside the room he allowed Parker to stay in. During this inspection, the homeowner also learned Parker had allowed an unknown male to stay with her at the residence.
Deputies obtained a search warrant for the property which was executed Wednesday, Nov. 26. When contact was made at the residence, deputies were able to identify the male who had been staying with Parker as David Kemerer, a 55-year-old Harrison man. During the execution of the search warrant, deputies seized approximately 32 grams of methamphetamine, 5.6 grams of powdered fentanyl, as well as liquid fentanyl.
Both Parker and Kemerer were arrested and lodged at the Clare County Jail. Kemerer was charged with one count of Delivery and Manufacture of Methamphetamine, one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, and one count of Possession of a Schedule Substance (Fentanyl). He was arraigned on these charges in the 80th District Court, and his bond was set at $80,000 cash or surety. Kemerer is still currently lodged in the Clare County Jail.
Parker was charged with one count of Possession of Methamphetamine. She was arraigned in the 80th District Court, and her bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety 10% bond. Parker also is still currently lodged in the Clare County Jail.
