Makeshift Food Pantry at S&S Collision and Clare County Cleaver office

Food donations are accepted and available for pick up to those in need at the Cleaver office and S&S Collision in Harrison. If you cannot pick up food and are in need please call the Cleaver at 989-539-7496 or S&S Collision at (989) 539-6210 to arrange someone to bring you a food package.  

  • The Gathering Food Pantry -Open Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. 426 N. First St., Harrison.
  • The United Brethern Church  has a blessing box available for donations or pick up of needed items.  250 East Main Street.

Greater Lansing Food bank distribution took place in Harrison schools yesterday and today and will resume when school resumes in April.

Senior Meal Center Information

As a result of the interim recommendations from MI DHHS, Clare County Senior Services will be closing the congregate dining centers and activities until further notice. All congregate meals will be available for CURB SIDE PICK-UP ONLY. Seniors wishing to get a meal should call one business day in advance to reserve a meal. Meals can be picked up at the Lake George Center, Harrison Senior Center and Clare Senior Center Monday through Friday between 11:30 a.m.-12:30 a.m. Suggested meal donations remain $2.25 per meal.

Meals on Wheels (Home Delivered Meals) will continue the same Monday Through Friday staff and volunteers will be following an enhanced protocol of sanitization to mitigate the possibility of the spread of germs.

In Home Health/Help Services will continue the same Monday through Sunday every week. Aids will be following standard protocol of universal precautions as well as enhanced protocol of sanitization to mitigate the possibility of the spread of germs.

ALL staff that have contact with seniors will be tele-commuting from their home and avoid public places as well as group settings

Medical Transportation and Day Care Services will be pre screening 48 hours in advance to conduct a pre-health screen. Enhanced protocol of sanitization is in effect.
