Linda Lee Bailey

Linda Lee Bailey age 72 of Harrison, passed away peacefully at her home with her daughters at her side on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Linda was born Thursday, September 18, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Eleanor Jane (Borland) Brown and William Frederick Brown. Linda was united in marriage to Mr. Carl F. Bailey on June 5, 1982, in Wayne County, Michigan. Mr. Bailey preceded Linda in death on April 17, 2019, after thirty-six years of marriage.

                Mrs. Bailey has resided in Harrison since 1988, moving from Lincoln Park, Michigan. She retired in 2019 from Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant after nineteen years of dedicating her life to many students and forging friendships with her fellow workers.  Linda enjoyed her time spent with her grandchildren, cross stitching keepsakes for her family, spoiling and caring for her tropical parrots, playing bingo, traveling to Wildwood, New Jersey and cheering for her beloved Detroit Lions and Philly Eagles.

                Surviving Mrs. Bailey are her loving daughters; Nicole Mazzola of Dearborn Heights, Michigan and Kristen Bailey of Harrison, two stepdaughters, four stepsons, many grand and great-grandchildren, three sisters; Debra Babiasz and husband Jim of Marblehead, Ohio, Cynthia Dempsey and husband Gary of Livonia, Michigan and Diana Brown, plus many nieces, nephews and Linda’s beloved parrots. Mrs. Bailey was also preceded in death by her parents, and one stepdaughter.

                Funeral services honoring Linda will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service with Pastor Connie Bongard officiating. Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan at a later date.
