Letter to the Editor-Buckley responds to accusations

To the residents of Hayes Township: My name is Robert Buckley, and I am running for re-election for the seat of Hayes Township Trustee.

You might have read the article on the front page of the Clare County Cleaver where I was accused of doing something wrong as an elected official. I would like to take this time to express my views and opinions on this matter.

First off, what I am being accused of does not have any merits. There is no proof of anything that I have done wrong, not to mention what I am b3eing accused of has nothing to do with the job I was elected by you to do. What it does have is a fellow resident angry at something [I believe is] fabricated to discredit me in the eyes of you the voters. I will not play into his game.

I would hope that the residents of Hayes Township who know me would know I would never do anything to jeopardize my position on the board. I would like to continue to work for you. If we work together, we can make this little community a great place to live.

When you go to the polls to vote, remember I have your best interest at heart. Please vote for Robert Buckley for Hayes Township Trustee.
