LEONARD “LEO” JACK GOUINE SR.

Leonard “Leo” Jack Gouine Sr., 78 of Harrison passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. Leonard was born February 25, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Leonard A. and Virginia Ruth (Padgett) Gouine.

            Mr. Gouine had resided in Harrison since 1986, moving from Belleville, Michigan. Leo worked many years at the former United Trucking Service of Detroit as a Master Diesel Mechanic. After moving to Harrison, he spent several years as Maintenance Director of Croze Manor Apartments. When Leo wasn’t working, he enjoyed playing pool, bowling, deer hunting, cheering for his beloved Detroit Tigers and watching various televised sporting events.

            Surviving Mr. Gouine are his two sons; Leonard J. Gouine Jr. and wife Diann Frazer of Monroe, Michigan and Erik Gouine and wife Phyllis of Alto, Georgia, three grandchildren; Nichole Loenart, Brittany Nassar and husband Daniel and Dylan Gouine, his inherited grandson, Christopher Hildebrant, six great-grandchildren, his girlfriend and longtime companion, Linda DeBarr of Harrison, plus many nieces and nephews. Mr. Gouine was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marjorie A. Rogers.
