Leo Lee Hines 76 of Harrison passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at The Villa of Rose City, Rose City, Michigan. Leo was born February 18, 1942 in Vestaburg, Michigan the son of Budd and Fern (Daniels) Hines. Mr. Hines enlisted in the United States Army and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. On January 26, 1974 in Alma, Michigan, Leo was united in marriage to Ms. Phyllis Ann Scott.

                Leo had resided in Harrison since 1990, moving from Alma. Mr. Hines retired from Morbark of Winn, Michigan after twenty-five years of dedicated service.  Leo enjoyed camping, motorcycling, grooming and maintaining his yard and spending time with family and friends.

                Surviving Mr. Hines is his wife and best friend of forty-five years, Mrs. Phyllis Ann Hines of Harrison, one daughter, Nicole Zell and husband Troy of Ovid, Michigan, one son, Russell Hines of Harrison, two grandchildren; David Zell and Megan Zell, two sisters; Jenny DeLong of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and Leila Welch of Alma, several nieces, nephews and extended family members and his beloved dogs; Loki, lady and Remi. Mr. Hines was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Teresa Lynn Hines, three sisters; Ruby Hill, Betty Rinard and Margie Teachworth and two brothers; Dale Hines and LaVern Hines.
