In January of 2020, I applied for and was appointed by the Greenwood Township Board to fill a vacant trustee position. I now wish to pursue a 4-year term.
I have lived and worked in Clare County for approximately 48 years (25 years in Lincoln Township and the past 23 years in Greenwood Township.) Having worked with the public most of those years, first for Michigan Bell Telephone in Clare and then for the State of Michigan in Harrison, I have learned to listen to what concerns and problems people are facing and worked with them to find a course of action to resolve their issues.
I am self-motivated with a strong work ethic and do not give in to procrastination. I feel these qualities are what is needed in the roll of trustee. I care about what is taking place in our township and what the needs and concerns of our property owners are.
I am particularly interested in environmental issues. One of our current problems is with gypsy moths. I strongly support funding for the eradication of these moths.
Remember to vote Tuesday, Aug. 4 and Tuesday, Nov. 3.
