Lake Man Pleads No Contest to Accosting Children for Immoral Purposes

Joshua Jon Murdoch, of Lake, Michigan, plead no contest to two counts of Accosting Children for Immoral Purposes on June 7, 2021. The conviction was the culmination of an investigation conducted by the Clare County Sheriff's Department. Today, September 7, 2021, the Defendant was sentenced by Judge Evans to serve 12 months in jail, with credit for 2 days already served. He will be on probation for 5 years upon release from jail. He was ordered to pay $3126 in associated fees and court costs. He will also be required to register as a sex offender.
