The charges against the defendant stemmed from a multi-disciplinary team investigation conducted by the Clare County Sheriff’s Department and the Northern Michigan Alliance for Children Child Advocacy Center.

The Defendant was sentenced today by Judge Mienk to prison as follows: 35 years to 50 years; 10 years to 15 years; 10 years to 15 years; 1-2 years; 16-25 years; 13-20 years; 16-25 years; and 13-20 years respectively. All sentences will run concurrent with one another. He received 184 days for credit for time already served. He was also ordered to pay assorted fines, costs and court appointed attorney fees.

Prosecutor Ambrozaitis would like to thank everyone involved in the investigation of this case, this was the culmination of a great team effort. “There is never enough time that a person can be ordered to serve that would make up for the damage done to the victims in these types of cases, but 35 years is a good start.”
