On Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 03:51 a.m., the Clare County Central Dispatch received a call of a domestic assault occurring in the township of Lincoln. Deputies responded to 861 Pine St, and discovered a 66 year old Lake George man, James Briskey was spraying subjects inside the residence with wasp spray. There were no injuries reported from the use of the wasp spray.
While Deputies were investigating the assault, they observed a methamphetamine pipe in plain view.
When asked about the pipe, an occupant of the residence reported the pipe belonged to Briskey. Deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence. Deputies located approximately 11 grams of methamphetamine, as well as pipes used to smoke methamphetamine. Deputies also located a scale
used to weigh narcotics as well as bags used to package narcotics for sale.
Briskey was arrested and charged with one count of Domestic Violence, one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, one count of Delivery/Manufacture of Methamphetamine, and one count of Maintaining a Drug House. Briskey was arraigned on these charges in the 80th District Court Clare County on January 24, 2025. His bond was set at $80,000 with 10% accepted. He remains lodged in the Clare County Jail.
