Laboratory in Clare Offers Scheduled Appointments for Faster, Safer Service

Posted

Patients in Clare County now have a faster, safer way to get laboratory testing when needed. Anyone with a signed lab order may now go online to schedule a lab visit at MidMichigan Medical Center – Clare. MidMichigan is encouraging patients to book appointments not only for their convenience, but also to minimize time spent in the facility and potential exposure to others during the current pandemic.

“Scheduled appointments will take priority over walk-ins, although we will continue to welcome walk-ins as well,” said Diane Hagle, laboratory services manager at MidMichigan Medical Center – Clare. “Patients who book ahead will get in and out more quickly and this helps with social distancing by reducing the number of people in the building at any particular time.”

“You do not need to be a current patient of the Medical Center to schedule an appointment or to use our lab,” Hagle added. “We accept signed lab orders from any provider or facility.”

For the safety of patients and staff, Medical Center officials remind patients and visitors to wear a mask when presenting to a MidMichigan Health facility and be prepared to answer screening questions about potential symptoms or exposure to COVID-19.
