KENNETH “KEN” FRANK THOMAS

Kenneth “Ken” Frank Thomas 57 of Harrison passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at his home, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Kenneth was born December 16, 1961 in Wyandotte, Michigan the son of James Hareld Thomas and Joan Marlene (Hurrell) Thomas. Ken graduated from Carleton High School in 1980. Kenneth was united in marriage to Ms. Janet Evelyn Carrier on January 23, 2004 in Monroe, Michigan.

                Mr. Thomas had resided in Harrison since 2006, moving from Carlton, Michigan. Ken spent many years as a certified auto mechanic, before he went to work at Napa Auto Parts of Harrison, where he spent over twelve years working the parts counter. Ken enjoyed working on vehicles, trail riding, street racing, cooking, cutting firewood, helping his mother in -law with house and yard chores. His true love of all time was spending time throughout the years with his beloved dogs.

                Surviving Mr. Thomas is his wife and best friend of fifteen years, Mrs. Janet E. Thomas of Harrison, two daughters; Rebecca James (AS1 Michael James) of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Christy Elliott (Mark Elliott) of Beaverton, Michigan, one son, Jeff Thomas (Meghan Thomas) of New York, five grandchildren; Peyton Thomas, Allison James, Evan Elliott, Oliver Thomas and Kellen Thomas, his mother in-law, Pauline Beltz of Harrison, many nieces, nephews and extended family members and his beloved dog, Angus. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.
