KEITH “DUTCH”- “FLYING DUTCHMAN” EUGENE DUTCHER

                Keith “Dutch” – “Flying Dutchman” Eugene Dutcher 68 of Harrison passed away suddenly at MidMichigan Medical Center-Clare on Friday, September 3, 2021. Keith was born July 20, 1953, in Pontiac, Michigan the son of Wayne Leroy Dutcher and Nancy (Dow) Dutcher. Keith graduated from Harrison High School in 1971. Immediately following high school graduation, Mr. Dutcher enlisted in the United States Army and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War.

                Mr. Dutcher was a resident of Harrison since 1962. Keith was united in marriage to Ms. Ilene A. Helzer on July 27, 2001, in Harrison. Dutch had been a commercial truck driver for many years. Many will remember Dutch for his handyman talents as well as his knack to repair small engines and Case and Ingersoll yard tractors. He also enjoyed relaxing in his chair watching old western movies.

                Surviving Mr. Dutcher is his loving wife of twenty years, Mrs. Ilene A. Dutcher of Harrison, one son, Christopher Dutcher, two step-children: John Johnston and wife Angela of Gladwin, Michigan and Angel Duesbout and husband Maurice of Harrison, ten grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, Esther Rose Johnston, two sisters: Judy Jackson and husband John of Texas and Pamela Dutcher of Lansing, Michigan, one brother, Ron Dutcher of Harrison, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family. Mr. Dutcher was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Carol Arnold and his best friend, Sooner.
