KATHLEEN “KATHIE” DIANE PROPST

                Kathleen “Kathie” Diane Propst age 71 of Midland, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, January 24, 2022. Kathie was born April 8, 1950 in Gladwin, Michigan the daughter of Howard Lyman Ford and Jessie Ione (Frank) Ford. Kathleen graduated from Harrison Community Schools in 1968.

                Kathie had resided in Midland since 1994, moving from Harrison, where she was a longtime resident. Kathleen was united in marriage to Mr. Frederick “Fred” Louis Propst Sr. on October 24, 1995 in Midland. Mr. Propst preceded Kathie in death on July 18, 2021 after twenty-five years of marriage. Mrs. Propst enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, crafting, reading, assembling jigsaw puzzles, participating in non-competitive bingo games and watching: HGTV, the gameshow network and football.

                Surviving Mrs. Propst are her two children; Chris Wright and wife Jennifer of Houghton Lake, Michigan and Laura Marino and husband Dennis of Saginaw, Michigan, her five grandchildren; Colton Wright, Sydney Wright, Mandelynn Tachna, Bethany Tachna and Lance Tachna, one sister, Margaret Griffin of Traverse City, Michigan, two step-children; Chris Frost and husband Eric of Rhodes, Michigan and Frederick Louis Propst Jr. of Palm Springs, California, three step-grandchildren; Ryan Piasecki, Devin Piasecki and Cody Piasecki, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family. Kathie also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother in-law, Bill Griffin.

                Funeral services honoring Mrs. Propst will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. A time of visitation will take place Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Harrison.
