JULIE WARD NOVAK

Julia Ward Novak, age 83, of Lake, MI went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 resulting from complications of Covid-19.  Judy was born August 16, 1938 at Mercy Hospital, Long Island, NY to the late William J. and Clarice S. Ward, Sr.  She was a graduate from Seaford Senior High School in 1956.  Julia had worked as a telephone operator, home maker, cafeteria worker, bus driver, business owner, property manager and a friend to everyone she met.

     She was preceded in death by two husbands and six siblings; she is survived by her husband, Edwin C. Novak, Jr. of Lake; children John M. Mills and wife Kathie of Laurel, DE; Sandi J. Tyson of Lake, MI, Martha Lynn Hibbs and husband Gary of Dewitt, MI, David Novak of St. Johns, MI, Susan Anthony and husband Dave of Bark River, MI, Sarah Bristol of South Haven, MI; grandchildren Ben Tyson of Stuart, FL, Tyler Mills of Seaford, DE, Matt Tyson of Tenaha, TX, Lauren Connelly and husband Tim of Laurel, DE, Andrea Hibbs and Christopher Hibbs of Dewitt, MI, Jacob, Alex and Katie Bristol, and 4 great grandchildren, and a rescue Dachshund named Ginger a.k.a. Peanut.

     Visitation and services will take place on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Brown Corners United Brethren in Clare, MI.  Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until time of service at 12 noon with Pastor Chuck Malson officiating.  Burial services will take place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford, DE.  In Lieu of Flowers memorials are suggested to Gideon’s International.  Arrangements in Michigan were handled by the Farwell Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.  On-line condolences may be left at www.stephenson-wyman.com
