JOSEPHINE RUTH SADLER

            Josephine “Jo” Ruth Sadler age 83 of Harrison passed away at home surrounded by family on Monday, January 16, 2023. Josephine was born September 19, 1939, in Clinton County, Michigan the daughter of George and Bethel (Walker) DeVries. Jo was united in marriage to Mr. Roger L. Sadler on June 10, 1977, in St. Johns, Michigan.

            Mrs. Sadler had resided in Harrison since 2005, moving from St. Johns. Jo had worked for Dana Corp of St. Johns for eight years and was priorly employed with Saylor Beall Manufacturing of St. Johns for over fifteen years. Jo enjoyed riding her motorcycle, snowmobiling, boating, waterskiing, bowling, knitting, sewing, baking, card playing, especially Euchre, as she was considered a fierce competitor, reading and baking treats for her family and friends.

            Josephine is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Mr. Roger L. Sadler of Harrison, four loving children: Cindy Mikula and her significant other, Steven Purvis of Grayling, Michigan, Toni Gill and husband Todd of St. Johns, Jennifer Murdock and husband Stan of St. Johns and Rick Sadler and wife Justine of Middleburg, Florida, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one arriving soon, one sister, Doris Wilcox of Bath, Michigan, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Scott Dean Wohlfert and one brother-in-law, LaVern Wilcox.

            Visitation for Mrs. Sadler will be held Friday, January 20, 2023, from 12:00-3:00 p.m. at Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service, 165 W. Oak St., Harrison, Mi. 48625. Inurnment will take place at a later in Hillcrest Cemetery, Harrison.   Memorial gifts in memory of Jo may be considered to: Veterans Freedom Park of Harrison or ProMedica Hospice.
