JOHN “TOM” THOMAS RAMEY

John “Tom” Thomas Ramey 72 of Harrison passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. John was born January 19, 1947 in Garden City, Michigan the son of Guy Thomas Ramey and Mary Elizabeth (Haas) Ramey. He served in the United States Air Force from 1964-1968 and fought for our Country during this time in Vietnam, moving to Texas to be with wife and children after.

                John had resided in Harrison since 1990, moving from Florida, although he considered himself Texan through and through. Mr. Ramey was an avid coin collector. He was also Dallas Cowboys and MSU football fan. John enjoyed yard working, cutting fire wood, mushroom hunting, reading a “good book” and watching movies, especially horror and thriller shows. He also had a great love of music and played guitar in many bands through the years.

                Surviving Mr. Ramey is one daughter, Honey Sbardella (Steve) of Harrison, one son, Thomas Lee Ramey (Lisa) of Marble Falls, Texas, six grandchildren; Stephanie Parker (Jim), Emmalee Delmas (Rex), Todd Ramey, Jeff Ramey, Jackson Ramey, and Avery Ramey, two great-grandsons, Bode and Lawson, one great-granddaughter, Juenau, four sisters; Beth A. Lau of Harrison, Kathy Peterson of Garden City, Michigan, Karen Trapp of Dearborn, Michigan and Lisa Ramey of Garden City, two brothers; Mike Ramey of Howell, Michigan and Gary Ramey (Sue) of Texas, many nieces, nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents.
