JOANNE CAROLYN STAMPER

                Joanne Carolyn Stamper 79 of Harrison passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Joanne was born March 27, 1942 in Troy, Michigan the daughter of Wallace and Betty (Kingsley) Bayliss. Joanne was united in marriage to Mr. Lester Stamper on June 11, 1960 in Rochester, Michigan.

                Mrs. Stamper had resided in Harrison since 1978, moving from Howell, Michigan. Joanne retired from Harrison Community Schools after twenty-eight years of dedicated and loyal service as a custodian and bus driver. Joanne was passionate about the students at Harrison Community Schools as well as her fellow workers, she considered all to be an integral part of her extended family. Mrs. Stamper held a great love for her floral gardens as well as her vegetable garden. Joanne enjoyed a competitive game of Euchre, and Bingo, she was a force to not be reckoned with. As a young lady, Joanne enjoyed snowmobiling with her husband and family as well as motorcycle riding. She also found great pleasure in boating, fishing, relaxing at the beach, wintering in Florida as well as visiting Nashville, Tennessee with her family. Joanne loved to dance, whether with her family or pulling a stranger onto the dance floor.

                Surviving Mrs. Stamper is her loving husband of sixty-one years, Mr. Lester Stamper of Harrison, her three children; David Stamper and wife Pam of Harrison, Kimberly Fuller and husband Marc of Deltona, Florida and Kevin Stamper and wife Jackie of Harrison, seven grandchildren; Alicia Myers and husband Josh, Alexander Stamper and wife Kelli, Aaron Stamper and wife Savanna, Shaun Fuller, Zachary Fuller, Makayla Stamper and Austin “Auggie” Stamper, six great-grandchildren; Cameron Fuller, Quincy Myers, Aubrey Myers, Remington Stamper, Ayden Fuller and Peyton Stamper, one brother, Michael Bayliss and wife Yolanda of Mojave City, Arizona, plus many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stamper was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Rexanna Edwards and Donna Jane Campbell.

                Memorial services for Mrs. Stamper will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Chaplain Michael Petrosky officiating. A time of gathering will take place on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Memorial gifts in memory of Joanne may be considered to the Stamper family, in care of: Lester Stamper.
