JOAN MARIE WESOL

Joan Marie Wesol, 81 of Harrison passed away at her home on Sunday, July 7, 2019. Joan was born July 29, 1937 in Hamtramck, Michigan the daughter of Stephen and Anna (Klingo) Krolik. Joan graduated from East Detroit High School in 1955.

Ms. Wesol retired from General Motors Corporation, Pontiac Division after thirty years as an Executive Secretary. Joan had resided in Harrison for many years, moving from Waterford, Michigan. She was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison. Joan enjoyed working in her yard, flower gardening, cooking, and baking for others. She was known to buy furniture treasures and re-finish them back to their original beauty. Joan enjoyed traveling, whether it was wintering in Cape Coral, Florida or taking numerous day trips with her daughter Judy and granddaughter Madaleine. Throughout the years, Joan gave unconditional love to her many dogs and cats.

Surviving Ms. Wesol are her two children; Judy Wesol of Midland, Michigan and Joseph Wesol of Port Charlotte, Florida, three grandchildren; Madaleine Wesol, Megan Birman, and Jason Wesol , one sister, Shirley Nicolaw of Harrison, one nephew Sean SanFilipino and her dog and cat; Emma and Angel. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, two sons Edward Wesol, Stephen Wesol and her beloved dog, Molly.
