                Jeanette Kay Armstrong 77 of Harrison passed away suddenly at her home on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Jeanette was born January 6, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of DeWitt Ballance and Genevieve (McKennon) Ballance.  Jeanette graduated in 1960, from Saginaw High School, Saginaw. Jeanette was united in marriage to Mr. James “Jim” Emory Armstrong on August 3, 1963 in Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Armstrong preceded Jeanette in death on January 23, 2020 after fifty-six years of marriage.

                Mrs. Armstrong had resided in Harrison since 1991, moving from Saginaw. Jeanette and her husband Jim were past owners and operators of Shady Oaks Campground of Dodge City for over ten years. Jeanette was an avid baker, fondly remembered for her famous cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies. She enjoyed reading, vegetable and floral gardening and spending time outdoors, enjoying God’s creations and beauty.

                Surviving Mrs. Armstrong are her two children; Terri Reams and husband Dan of Saginaw and James D. Armstrong of Coatsville, Pennsylvania, two grandchildren; Hannah Reams and Steven Armstrong, one brother, Douglas Ballance and wife Brenda of Tennessee, many sisters and brothers in-law, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and her beloved pets; Prince and Buffy. Mrs. Armstrong also was preceded in death by her parents.

                Visitation for Jeanette will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. Inurnment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Saginaw.  Memorial gifts in memory of Mrs. Armstrong may be considered to The Armstrong Family: In Care of Terri Reams.
