                James Edward Hendrickson 87 of Harrison passed away peacefully at this home on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. James was born September 23, 1933 in Beloit, Wisconsin the son of Kenneth and Anna (Jensen) Hendrickson. James graduated from Beloit High School in 1951. Following graduation, Mr. Hendrickson enlisted in the United States Army and honorably served his country during the Korean Conflict.

                James had resided in Harrison since 1964, moving from Lansing, Michigan. James was a long-time member of the Carpenters Local 1004 of Lansing. He spent many years as a carpenter and bridge builder. James enjoyed hunting, woodworking, watching NASCAR races with family and friends.

                Surviving Mr. Hendrickson are his four children; one daughter, Kristy Hendrickson and Rich Czarnecki of Harrison, Jeff Hendrickson and wife Vena of Riverdale, Michigan, Jim Hendrickson and Karen Shafer of Harrison and Joseph Hendrickson and Sally Kelley of Ithaca, Michigan, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, the mother of James children, Ruby Beebe of Harrison, one brother, Phillip Hendrickson and wife Anita of Beloit, two sisters in-law; Barbara of Beloit and Vivian also of Beloit, one brother in-law, Zeke Fallin of Alabama, plus many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hendrickson was preceded in death by his two infant daughters; Jody Lynn Hendrickson and Julie Ann Hendrickson, his parents, two sisters; Joyce Beebe and Carolann Fallin and two brothers; Larry and Bob Hendrickson.

                Funeral services for Mr. Hendrickson will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from Hope Baptist Church, 3315 East Townline Lake Road, Harrison, Michigan 48625, with Pastor Paul Fetzer officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, March 22, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison with military honors presented by American Legion Post 404 Harrison.
