JACK EDWARD GRADY

                Jack Edward Grady age 80 of rural Harrison passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Munson Healthcare-Grayling Hospital, Grayling, Michigan. Jack was born November 23, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Orville and Elizabeth (Gergely) Grady. Following his high school graduation, Jack enlisted in the United States Navy and honorably served his country. After Jack fulfilled his military service, he went to work with the United States Postal Service for over thirty years and retired as a maintenance supervisor of the Royal Oak Postal Service Motor pool.

                Mr. Grady had resided in Harrison since 2000, moving from Attica, Michigan. Jack was united in marriage to Ms. Kathleen Anne Northey on March 20, 2000. Mrs. Grady preceded Jack in death on August 31, 2020 after twenty years of marriage. Jack was passionate about collecting and refurbishing classic cars and tractors. He spent countless hours tinkering in his garage as well as on his property. Jack enjoyed attending various car shows and trail riding in his jeep. Jack’s close friends will remember his passion for old corvette’s as well as his time spent with them visiting.

                Surviving Mr. Grady are his two children; Kevin Grady-Miller of Florida and Kimberly Grady-Miller of Wisconsin, many close and dear friends; Loren and Maggie Black of Harrison, Jay and Jamie Hoffman of Clare, Michigan, Bill and Connie Smith of Harrison, Jim Burgess also of Harrison, Joyce Beemer of Harrison and Sharon Dimaria of Clay, Michigan and numerous extended friends and acquaintances. Mr. Grady also was preceded in death by his parents.
